Meet The Heckmans

Hello to all you happy couples out there!  My name is Emily and I too am a happy person.   I’m blissfully married to my handsome hubby Joseph.  Together we share our beautiful daughter, Nora, and two crazy cools cats, Coco and Hook.  This is my family, they are the ones who fill my days with smiles and my heart with love.  Above all, my joy is complete through Jesus.

I love what I do. Meeting new couples and forming friendships with them is what makes this job so fulfilling.  I'm very detail-oriented which is why I love the prepping process! You can say that I’m a bit of a planner---my brain is always on.  I love discovering what my clients want and how I can make it happen.

I enjoy simple things like small day trips, exploring new places, making new friends, and a chicken bowl from Chipotle.  One of my favorite simple pleasures though is a good laugh - the kind that makes your eyes water.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Did I mention that I love making new friends?  I hope in time you might become one of them.  I wish you all of the very best with your wedding planning and all of the years to follow.

I love everything that comes with being a wedding photographer: the engagement, the planning process, and especially the big day. I appreciate the people I meet, not only the bride and groom, but their parents, siblings, and best friends. It’s all uplifting and I am the kind of guy that keeps smiling.

Behind the camera I never stop working. I’m constantly brainstorming everything new when it comes to my profession; new places, new angles, new techniques, new everything. I never stop! I understand how hard it is to be in front of the camera, which is why my wife and I try to make the experience as relaxing and fun as possible. We’re very professional but in order to capture true emotions, we become friends with our couples and enjoy the moment with them.

I grew up in Wernersville, PA and now call the amazing farmlands of Fleetwood home. I married the most amazing woman I have ever met and we have a little girl that I would walk to the end of the earth for. My life has reached its finest hour and I will not let this go by without appreciating everything that continues to bless my soul.
